Accounting Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to support accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams to process transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with established procedures and reporting requirements. Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts.
  • Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and proper coding.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare routine financial reports and summaries for internal review.
  • Support payroll, expense processing, and related administrative tasks as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, coworkers, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.
  • Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment.
